Do you own your own Vacation property, boat, plane or season tickets? These make excellent auction items! Just set a date, write a description, and complete the online procurement form.



Party Idea Suggestions


Karaoke Night

Dig through your closets for your beloved 80’s wear and practice your favorites from the past! You provided drinks, snacks and karaoke fun.


Mom’s Night Out

Join your fellow moms and host a night of drinks and snacks at your home, do a craft or paint and sip party it's up to you!


Dad’s Tailgate Party

Host the Dads of PSJXXIII for a tailgating party for your favorite sports team. Provide food, drink and sports watching party.


Tea and Cookies

Host a tea party for kids of PSJXXIII and friends. Each child could bring a special guest (favorite stuffy, doll, toy) for an afternoon tea party.


Host the PSJXXIII Lock-In

Help host PSJXXIII students overnight at school. Plan and supervise games, arts activities, and pizza party. Students would be grade 3 and up.

Dear Friends of Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy,

It is with great excitement that we invite you to participate in a very special event. For the past 99 years, Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy has been a vital part of the South Tacoma community, serving not only its children, but the community at large. By committing to serving a range of students across all socioeconomic groups and demographics, our mission is to journey alongside our youth as they work to realize their ambitions, for it is our youth that are to be the future scholars, engineers, scientists, mathematicians, artists, teachers, and leaders in our community.

But, unfortunately, a mission to serve our youth and community doesn’t come for free. Grounded in a Catholic call to serve the youth and particularly the marginalized, Pope St. John XXIII is committed to providing its exceptional STEM-focused curriculum to any family, regardless of ability to pay. In fact, approximately 75% of families receive tuition assistance. Of course, in the process of opening doors, we must humbly reach out to our community to help make possible this essential mission. We are asking for your support to provide expert teaching, excellence in learning, and enriching faith formation.

The funds from our annual auction allow us to offer generous tuition assistance and strengthen our academic programs. In 2023, we were able to raise over $70,000 for our school’s tuition assistance program. These funds helped provide much-needed financial aid for families and enriched programs for all students, including the arts, theater, and extracurricular athletics. Join us as we celebrate “Havana Nights” on April 13, 2024 at Saint Charles Borromeo's Feist Hall, as we ambitiously aim to raise over $130,000.00!

We sincerely appreciate your past support, and we ask you to consider contributing again this year to ensure the success of our auction. Please note: Your donation is completely tax-deductible, as Pope St John XXIII STEM Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) institution. Our tax ID # is 91-743367. Items must be received at the school no later than March 1, 2024.

Welcome to Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy's Havana Nights Auction Gala!

This year’s theme is Havana Nights! Is there a better way to support our school than to have a huge party with good food, great friends, and fabulous items to bid on?

​

The Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy Annual Auction Gala is our largest and most important fundraiser. Last year, the auction raised over $70,000, with funds going directly to our tuition assistance program. Every penny from the auction goes back to Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy—and our children! The auction has allowed our school to:

 

  • Enhance our excellent curriculum,

  • Offer tuition assistance to families in need,

  • Provide assistance to our sports and theater programs,

  • And much more!
