Parent Resources for Donation Items

    Each year we try our best to provide up to date information for parents and families at Pope St John XXIII STEM Academy to help them meet the obligatory amount of $250 for item or items sold at our annual fundraiser gala auction. We know this is a big ask of our school community but we know that this can be done. We provide many avenues our community can use for example, event sponsorship, Amazon Wish List Items, and new this year our item sign up list. 

   In an effort to try to obtain items for donation at no cost to you we have the following suggestions. Go to your local business that you frequent and ask if they would like to donate an item or service to our auction explain what a great school your child or children attend and why they should donate to us. Secondly, do an internet search for donation request in the Tacoma, Seattle or Washington state. Read the requirements and submit online forms for donation request. Finally, if you want to work with a school family and go in together on a big ticket item your will both get credit for the item when it sales at the auction.

Please remember that a donation form must be submitted for each item a family donates, either through the website or in physical form. Additionally, this year we kindly request that all donations be submitted by February 19th, 2025. If your donation is coming from a business, please inform us, and as long as the form is submitted by February 19th, the item can be turned in once you’ve received it.

We also provide the option of our Amazon Wish List. Items purchased from the Wish List parents and family's will receive credit for the amount spent. So if you spend on an item $150.00, you will get $150.00 towards your total of $250.00. This is different from items donated that are not on the Wish List as credit will be given for how much the item or items sale for at the auction.

Lastly, if you are still needing ideas for what to donate we have a list for sign up of items. If you see an item on this sign up list, click to sign up and you will be expected to bring that item plus a donation form into the school.
